Being a mama can be tiring but also amazing, rewarding and infuriating at times (if we are being honest here!!) It’s a 24 hour a day job with zero paid vacation time, but it’s definitely the best job I’ve ever had. With Mother’s Day just around the corner and the weather finally starting to take a turn for the better, it’s time to celebrate the best mom around: YOU!
Spring is the perfect season to make motherhood better with a little Butter: Butter wine, of course! When the weather gets nicer, one of our most favorite things to do is take that bottle of Butter right outside with some of my best mom friends and relax together while the kids play together. We can talk, share accomplishments and commiserate together if needed. No one understand how it is to be a mama like another mama, that is for sure!
Butter Chardonnay from JaM Cellars is by far one of my most favorites white wines. It is rich, bold and luscious- and reminds of one of my favorite cooking ingredients: real butter! I love how it’s made in the tradition of quality Californian winemaking where the grapes selected are juicy, ripe and bursting with flavor, since they are grown in the beautiful California sun. Then it is cold fermented to give this delicious Chardonnay a lush creaminess to it. Butter is full of fruity and lemon notes that is utterly perfect for spring.
My mama friends and I absolutely love our brood but that do make us crazy and a nice glass of Butter helps to make that crazy a little more bearable!! Pair it with some fresh fruit, light cheeses and hearty crackers and you have dinner served- at least for the mamas.
So this Mother’s Day, grab some bottles of Butter from JaM Cellars and relax with your best mama friends. Forget the laundry, sports schedules and cleaning that needs to be done and take that wine right out side and enjoy the warmer weather. Let the kids run around and play, and let that Butter make all of your cares away. All of the chores will wait, trust me. No one wants to do your laundry for you so it will still be there tomorrow. Today, however, will never be around again, so make the most of it. Celebrate motherhood together and forget the stresses, because life is definitely better with a little Butter.
